The FASTIE provides an excellent fixing to brick and stone masonry, with low stresses transmitted to the base material by PVC expanders during setting of the tie.The Fastie has been used in materials with a compressive strength of only 5N/mm2.This versatile remedial wall tie also works well in concrete and dense strong blockwork. the fastie is manufactured from A2, 300 series, austenitic stainless steel with the PVC expansion elements to both inner and outer leaved of the cavity wall. Both expanders are independently set using a pre-set torque wrench and special setting tools. The tie is supplied and can be installed fully assembled for quick and easy application. the inner lead connection can be tested prior to setting the outer leaf expander.
